Eight-year-old EllRay Jakes's attempts to defend himself against the class bully always end up getting him in trouble, but he promises to do his best when his dad offers to take him to Disneyland if he can be good for an entire week--which may be a few days too long.

    I loved it because at the ending it really dug into my heart when Ellray became friends if you want to find out who he became freinds with you have to read the blog

    This was a good book that brings attention to the topic of bullies and how they make others feel. I like EllRay's character, and I especially like the little drawings by Jamie Harper of EllRay's thoughts that are mixed into the story.***

    I liked this Book! I think i Ms. Vandenbrook should read this to the whole 5th grade on bullying! i think she should, because bullying has started getting very serious in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade these past Years! :) ***

    The pictures were great. I like when they went to Disneyland together. I learned that if you get bullied or if you bully, you can get hurt.

    At Ellray Jakes school there is a bully and he got in trouble a lot from his parents. Ellray Jakes parents said that the only way that he could go to Disneyland was if he was good the rest of the year but he wasn't but his parents did not know and he still got to go. ****

    I really love this book because he's strong enough to stand up to bullies. I get bullied alot, so this book is really interesting to me. But it's kind of funny to me how he has to be nice for a week, and even though he didn't, he still gets to go to Disney World. LUCKY!!!! I give it **** stars!

    It was a fiction book but it could have been real. Elray Jakes does a lot of things that I do, like wetting his toothbrush to pretend he brushed and like trying to make his classmates laugh and picking a shirt from the dirty clothes pile because I don't like the clean ones my mom picks. I loved it and it was very funny. I'm glad he became friends with Jared, maybe Stanley Washington isn't so bad afterall because he told kids about the fight Jared and Elray were having. I give it ****

    i like the book so far it brings my attention and Ellray start working those pingpong balls they are not working out you got to fight back at Jared don`t you i mean really takeoff the pingpong balls and again Jared is a lot stronger then you just lift some weights or something you got to start being a charmer for them girls dude

    I liked this book because it really told about his instincts and how he reacted because his muscles were like little ping pong balls and every time Jared punched him he tries not to cry or flinch because if he does Jared will punch him and he has a girl named Stacie who follows him around every where he goes.

    I didn't get the book when I first looked at it because I thought the book was going to be about Ellray being an actual chicken but when I started reading it made more sense. I like it because it's about Ellray standing up to the bully.
